When we started looking for invitations, it felt like our choices were limitless. I met with an awesome letterpress printer, but ultimately we needed to stick to the budget. Luckily Juli came to the rescue. Juli B. is our good friend and graphic designer to Hennepin County Library. She met with Kevin and me and tolerated countless updates. We were inspired by this blog post to create a new chapter page to tell our story. They were printed on a feltweave soft white paper.
The envelopes are shimmer gold from Paper Source and we hand stamped (stamp also by Juli) the return address and rsvp cards with embossing ink. We lined the envelopes with upcycled book pages by hand as well. Rather than an inner envelope, we used a half moon enclosure for the invites. Kevin addressed each one with a fine tipped slick writer pen.
Thank you to Kevin for indulging my Pride and Prejudice predilection. They are warm and romantic and were made with lots of love.
